The National Park Service, in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration, once again specified Filtrexx lock down netting and a seeded compost blanket to stabilize and revegetate after a landslide. This project is very close to the entrance of Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Gatlinburg, TN. A white cotton lock down netting was placed first, then a two inch thick layer of compost was installed with a mix of fescues and native seeds, over an area of 1936 square yards.
